Support Access to Secondary Education in Huixoc

The Maya Bela’j No’j School Project supports Indigenous Maya and non-Indigenous students by providing access to education from Gr. 7- Gr. 10. This allows students to advance to post secondary education in Guatemala, which they cannot do without these critical years. There is no other junior secondary school within a 4 hour driving radius, and the school is currently underfunded.   

A Monthly Donation of $5 per month - $75 per month will directly help with the school’s operations

This project is in dire need of monthly donor support to provide a salary to the local Principal, to hire additional teachers, and to help pay the school’s operational fees. Any financial support you provide on a monthly basis will directly support student access to education at the Maya Bela’j No’j School Project. Charitable tax receipts are issued annually to Rose Charity project donors.

One-Time donations can help toward the Huixoc village community water shortage and other large special projects needed to support the school

In underfunded Indigenous communities in Central America, there are often core service problems. These projects are often larger in scale and require international philanthropic investment. Current emergencies range from a community-wide access to drinking water, to the need for additional infrastructure projects, such as retaining walls, to manage large-scale weather events.
