Madagascar School Support

In 2005, a group of UBC students visiting Madagascar met an inspiring young Malagasy man, Bina, who dreamed of building a school in his remote village. By working together, they built and opened the Mahastara School with just 43 pupils and a single classroom. Today the school has grown into an important community education center with over 300 hundred students. There are many small, community projects supported by the school including: sports teams, nutrition, community gardens, and adult education classes. These programs are dependent upon funding and are always looking for more support.
