At Stand Tall, our academic curriculum is supplemented with a vocational component. Learning about growing crops and harvesting them is of great value to our students and their families. Small garden plots where families can grow a variety of crops are very common in Kampala. The produce from these gardens helps with the family’s food needs, and produce can be sold to supplement the family income. The produce that Stand Tall grows in its garden doubles as a learning tool for our students and provides additional nutrition and variety towards our lunch program.
