The annual Rose Charities Conference was held in Kampala and Mbarara, Uganda this year. Our chief organizers, Sadie St Denis and Linda Roberts did an incredible job of organizing to ensure that we had one of the most successful conferences to date. We had a full house and an excellent panel of speakers and workshop presenters on the theme of education and community health. Stand Tall, along with other projects based in Uganda, did a presentation about the school and also closed the conference with songs, dance and drumming performed by some of our learners.

A conference is a great opportunity to make new contacts and learn new things. People freely intermingled and chatted about their various projects over lunch. In the afternoon, participants could sign up for different workshops on all aspects of education from leadership training in secondary schools to accounting practices for NGO’s.
