Mr Lawrence Keenan was awarded the 2014 Rose Charities Award for his outstanding contribution to humanity. Lawrence first became involved with Rose after the tsunami in 2004 when he met the first Rose Charities emergency team in Columbo and escorted them to Kalmunai on the devastated east coast of Sri Lanka Since then he has been a tireless supporter of Rose Charities Sri Lanka, helping the organization grow and helping thousands of families and children recover their shattered lives. Lawrences generosity of his time and resources and his kind heart have been an inspiration to all of us. Today Rose Charities Sri Lanka has a thriving microcredit program, a medical centre pre-schools and an education program that helps thousands of children from poor families get through school.
