A huge thank you to all of our supporters who made the event possible.

This second Haitian Youth Retreat was a great success.  The group of 35 orphans spent five days in a guesthouse north of the capital, Port au Prince.  For most of the youth it was the first time they had traveled through Port au Prince.

The group participated in both recreational and educational activities.  The youth played games, sang together, and took part in education sessions to learn about how to live in family and society, hygiene, and other cultures (i.e. American, Dominican).  The teens were encouraged to believe that life can change if they take time to go to school and become well educated.

The time these orphans shared during the retreat enabled them to get to know each other better and to form supportive relationships for when they returned home to their communities.

Enjoy some photos from the retreat below!
